The iPhone dev wiki says there will be a major software announcement tonight at midnight Eastern Time. I’ll have an update here as soon as I know more:
IMPORTANT: Tonight @ midnight EST, there will be a special announcement and software release (not an unlocker). Please stay tuned for more details.
Update: Actually, there were two tools released:
- One to allow iPhone activation (but not unlocking)
- And another to give all sorts of access to a running iPhone, which should help with all sorts of other work.
