Ohter phones (2 Nokias and a Treo) do detect the iphone, the nokias fail when attempting any kind of transfer/pair. The treo hangs on any of these operations ! The iphone, as i said, does not detect ohter computers but both my desktop and notebook (dell 1710) detect and pair with the iphone. The computers correctly see the iphone as a smartphone, and the only service they see the iphone publishing is the Sync service. Connecting to this service does nothing. iTunes does not detect a connection to the iphone and syncing is impossible.
